Preliminary Task. Continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he exchange a couple of lines of dialogue. This task should demonstrate match on action, 180 degrees line ad continuity.

Script.
Person1:Did you hide the body?
Person 2: Yeah, I put it in the bin.
Person 1: NO! you were suppose to put it under the bin.
Person 2: Well you could have told me that earlier.
Person 1: Oh well, its too late now.

Shot list.
1. Over the shoulder shot on person 1
2. Front tracking on person 2s feet
3. match on action of person 2 opening a door
4. establishing shot
5. POV shot form person 1 of person 2
6. over the shoulder shot of person 2 on person 1 then vice versa.

During this preliminary task, I have learnt a variety of different skills and techniques, such as how to plan a short film and how to form a story board. I have also learnt some new shooting techniques like "behind tracking." Whilst doing this preliminary task I discovered how light effects the picture quality of a film.

I used techniques like; panning, match on action, point of view shots, tracking and many more.

In my preliminary task I would improve the match on action by filming longer scenes. this would improve the continuity of the clip.
